Year 10 - Design

The course will entail 5 periods per week, for 1 Semester, and will focus on developing students’ design skills. Their imagination, individuality and originality are encouraged. If students enjoy sketching and drawing, as well as thinking and talking about the design world – then this subject is for them! Students will participate in a range of projects in different fields, to develop their visual and creative thinking skills, by following the design process, and reviewing others’ designs.



Projects can include: A T – Shirt Graphic Design; An Interior Design / Layout and A Fashion Garment / Industrial Design. Using a wide range of media, students will explore and present their ideas. They will develop skills in observational drawing and freehand drawing, instrumental drawing systems, as well as design using various computer programmes.
