Year 11 - Music Performance 1-2

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Unit 1 focuses on building performance and musicianship skills. Students develop a repertoire of solo and group works for performance. They practise technical exercises to meet the stylistic and expressive challenges required by these works. Students study aural, theory and analysis concepts to further develop their musicianship.

Unit 2 continues to build performance and musicianship skills. Students develop a repertoire of solo and group works for performance. They practise technical exercises to meet the stylistic and expressive challenges required by these works. Students study aural, theory and analysis concepts to further develop their musicianship. Students also devise an original composition or improvisation.
