Year 9 - Music Year 9 (Elective)


In year 9 Music, students develop their listening, comprehension and compositional skills and refine their practice on an instrument. Therefore, those selecting this elective should have a competency in playing an instrument or voice.



Students regularly perform music in groups with their peers, develop listening skills and review different types of popular music as well as creating music using information technology.



Students will be requested to purchase a theory of music text book at approx. $20
The student should discuss this with the music teacher at the start of the semester in regard to appropriate level.
